History of Traders Insurance

In 1976, when the Concannon Family started what is now Traders Insurance, they were offering a new type of product for the independent agency described as a “Specialty” product that provided markets that catered to unusual or high risk insured. As it turns out, Traders Insurance was a pioneer in the high risk specialty auto business that has become one of the most significant and competitive markets in today’s environment.
These entrepreneurs spent months drumming up support for their concept with nothing but their axiom and a business plan. Over thirty years later, we are proud to still be the carrier that provides that specialty product to consumers who need auto insurance from their trusted insurance agent that is fast, easy, and reasonably priced. Just as we did in 1976, we pride ourselves delivering on our promise to our customers.
 

Expanding territories

Still a family owned, local business, Traders continues to offer services in the Midwest throughout Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Unlike some of our competitors who like to grow fast and furious, we continue our conservative approach that has kept us in business without the ups and downs of our industry and our economy. We want you to know, you are safe with us.
 

Expanding products

Although we are conservative in our investment strategy, we strive to continue to be pioneers in a quality customer relationship for the high-risk specialty auto business. We are cutting edge in low down payment plans, flexible reliable billing, online services, and easy pay plan options. We offer both noncredit scored and credit scored products that provide physical damage protection for those who need it. We accept foreign licenses, allow for easy reinstatements, and encourage automatic pay plans. However, no matter how we expand our technology and products, we never forget that courteous Customer Service is still the heart of our business.
